Dear Parents,
We are quickly coming to the end of our 2016/17 school year. We will begin our summer program on June 12th, 2017. Unless you are on our year round plan, you will need to register your child(ren) for the summer program.

Full disclosure: Teachers look forward to Spring Break as much as students and families. We love our jobs. But a chance to rest and regroup is vital to maintaining the energy and patience level required to finish the school year strong.
See you on the 27th, bright eyed and ready to go!

It has been amazing how, ever since SPLS adopted a theme of “Got G.R.I.T.?”, we have seen examples from all over that confirm this wise choice.
Maybe we are just more aware and so we see a message encouraging grit in places it has always been but we only recognize now. But I think it is also a result of people, secular and faith-based, coming to an understanding of how important it is for people to establish long terms goals and to stick with them, through thick and thin. To not give up when things get tough. To not expect immediate pay-offs and gratification for each small step toward the prize.
