Early Learning Center

(12 Months – PreK-4)

At St. Paul, we believe the earliest years of childhood matter deeply.

These foundational years are filled with discovery, growth, wonder, and rapid development; and they deserve an environment where children are known, nurtured, and encouraged every step of the way.

Our Early Learning Center provides a Christ-centered foundation where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn.

Beginning as early as 12 months, students are introduced to a thoughtful balance of care, structure, exploration, play, and early academic experiences that support the development of the whole child.

St. Paul’s Early Learning Center partners with families in Lakeland to create a warm and engaging environment where children build confidence, independence, relationships, and a love for learning rooted in faith.

A Place to Belong

The Early Learning years are often a child’s first experience away from home, and we recognize the importance of creating an environment that feels welcoming, secure, and joyful.

Our classrooms are intentionally designed to support social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and academic growth through caring relationships, consistent routines, and meaningful experiences. Teachers build strong connections with students and families, helping children feel known, valued, and encouraged from the very beginning.

Learning Through Exploration

Young children learn best through hands-on discovery, movement, creativity, conversation, and play. Our Early Learning Center encourages curiosity and active engagement while helping students develop foundational skills that prepare them for future academic success.

Throughout each stage of development, children are introduced to age-appropriate opportunities that build communication, problem-solving, independence, fine motor skills, early literacy, early math concepts, and social confidence.

Most importantly, children are encouraged to explore the world around them with wonder, confidence, and joy.

Faith From the Very Beginning

Faith is naturally woven into the daily rhythm of the Early Learning Center. Through Bible stories, prayer, worship, songs, and everyday interactions, children begin learning about God’s love in ways that are meaningful and age appropriate.

Our teachers model kindness, patience, compassion, and forgiveness while helping children understand that they are uniquely created, deeply loved, and wonderfully made by God.

Growing Together

At St. Paul, we value partnership with families and believe strong communication and trust are essential during these formative years. We walk alongside parents as children experience important milestones, new routines, growing independence, and early learning successes.

Because our educational journey continues beyond preschool and into elementary and middle school, families benefit from a stable and supportive community that understands the importance of long-term growth and development.

Building a Strong Foundation

The goal of the Early Learning Center is not simply kindergarten readiness; it is helping children develop the confidence, security, curiosity, problem solving and foundational skills needed to thrive both in school and in life.

By the time students transition into kindergarten, they are equipped with growing independence, meaningful relationships, foundational academic skills, and a strong sense of belonging within the St. Paul community.

In the earliest years of life, children are not only learning new skills; they are discovering confidence, connection, and the joy of being deeply known and loved."
