Chapel Life - St. Paul Lutheran School

At St. Paul, chapel is more than a weekly gathering. It is one of the ways our entire school community comes together to worship, grow, and encourage one another in faith.

From our youngest learners to our eighth-grade students, chapel provides a shared experience that reminds us who we are, whose we are, and what it means to walk together as followers of Christ.

Through worship, prayer, Scripture, and meaningful relationships, students are continually encouraged to take their next steps of faith while learning that spiritual growth is not a journey they take alone.

Gathering Around God's Word

Each week, students and staff gather as a school community to worship together and spend time in God's Word.

Through age-appropriate messages, Scripture readings, prayer, music, and worship, students are reminded of God's love, grace, and faithfulness. Chapel provides an opportunity to step away from the busyness of the school day and refocus on the truth that serves as the foundation of everything we do.

These shared moments help students develop a deeper understanding of their faith while strengthening their connection to the larger St. Paul community.

Growing Through Chapel Families

One of the most meaningful traditions at St. Paul is our Chapel Family program.

Students are grouped into multi-age Chapel Families that bring together younger and older students in a unique mentoring relationship. Throughout the year, students worship, serve, celebrate, and participate in activities together, creating connections that extend far beyond the classroom.

These relationships allow younger students to feel supported and encouraged while providing older students with meaningful opportunities to lead, serve, and model Christ-like character.

For many students, Chapel Families become one of the most memorable and impactful parts of their St. Paul experience.

Learning to Lead Through Faith

As students grow, they are encouraged to take an active role in chapel life.

Students have opportunities to participate in worship, lead prayers, assist with readings, serve within Chapel Families, and help foster a culture of faith throughout the school community.

These experiences help students understand that faith is not simply something to learn about but it is something to live out through leadership, service, and daily relationships with others.
