The instrumental and vocal music program at St. Paul Lutheran School enhances and builds on classroom music instruction provided to students in grades Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 5th grade. Students often get the opportunity to compete against other schools in adjudicated music festivals.
Recorders – Students in grade three learn to play recorders and to read simple music.
Beginning and Advanced Band – Beginning in grade five students are given the opportunity to select and play a band instrument. Regular group rehearsals and out of school independent practice contribute to great playing and opportunities to continue into high school.
Chorus – Grade level choruses consisting of all the students in a particular grade have opportunities to perform throughout the year in chapel and special events. Voluntary choruses for students from grade one through middle school provide more in depth and challenging opportunities.
Chimes and Hand Bells – Students in elementary and middle school grades have the opportunity to join award-winning hand chime and hand bell groups.
Praise Band – Middle school students can participate in Praise Bands using vocal and instrumental talents to enhance the school’s worship of the Lord.
Piano, Guitar and Drum Lessons – Individual lessons are offered during the school day or as after school activities.
"By far, the faculty member who has been a blessing to me the most is Mrs. Pahl. Mrs. Pahl has been a blessing to me in so many ways, like offering emotional support when I needed it most, and even praying with me when it seemed that there was no hope. She has helped me overcome so much, and I thank God that she taught me so much more than just social studies."
