It is unusual for a band program from a relatively small school to receive accolades from band directors in the community. However, this year, the St. Paul Lutheran School Advanced Band was one of only five area middle school bands to receive all superior ratings in the Musical Performance Assessment.
Students interested in learning to play a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument are welcome to begin band instruction at St. Paul Lutheran School in fifth grade. Students may then continue into Advanced Band in grades 6-8.
Graduates have gone on to great success in area high school bands and Harrison School for the Arts, often taking on leadership roles.
